BIOGRAPHY

I was born near the Andes Mountains, in Argentina. I studied at the National University of Cuyo, where I earned degrees in Visual Arts —both a Bachelor’s and a Teaching qualification— with a specialisation in Sculpture. I also trained in the art of glass with teachers such as Carlos Herzberg, Mabel Waisman, and Silvia Levenson, integrating glass sculpture and stained glass into my sculptural practice.

CAREER

After completing my studies, curiosity brought me to Europe. I spent time in Italy and France, but eventually settled in Barcelona, where I’ve been living and working for over twenty years.

A part of my heart remains in Argentina. That’s where the strength that drives my work and my bond with nature come from — a vital energy that quietly flows through each sculpture.

APPROACH TO MY WORK

In my sculptural practice, I primarily use ceramics and glass to to create scenes imbued with stillness and emotion. In my sculptures, animals embody a pure presence, immediate and authentic in their nature. My work uses the simple, silent existence of dogs to offer a counterpoint to human complexity and constant striving. Through subtle gestures—an observing eye, an attentive ear—I construct scenes that invite viewers to pause time and recognize a profound calm rooted in what is immediate and tangible. My sculptures serve as a refuge: a language of love and resistance against a world that frequently loses sight of the essential.

Animals, the now.

Animals are symbols and talismans of a life immersed in the pure instant, with a simple and complete awareness. Sensitive and beautiful mirrors of something that already lives within us, waiting to be recognized.
